Description
Wet Film Thickness Gauge Stainless Steel
TQC Wet Film Thickness Gauge WG is a hexagonal or octagonal precision measuring comb, that it made by a heavy duty stainless steel. The high-grade stainless steel will not be affected by acid also base elements, and also several models are available for the different applications.
Wet Film Thickness Gauges are designed to measure the thickness of wet coatings immediately after they have been applied to a substrate. The gauge has a series of notches cut into its sides like the teeth on a comb. The wet film thickness of coatings including paints, resins, lacquers, varnishes and gels an so on can be measured.
Hexagonal/Octagonal precision measuring comb made of heavy stainless steel. The high-grade stainless steel will not be affected by acid and also base elements either.
Standards: ISO 2808, Available in both Microns and also Mils scale.
4 models available for several different applications:

Use
- Firstly Place the gauge at a 90° angle to the coated substrate
- Secondly Make sure the gauge is in firm contact with the substrate.
- After that Remove the gauge in a straight line up.
- Finally Assess the teeth of the gauge. The wet film thickness lies between the largest tooth that is wet and the smallest tooth that is not wet.
