TQC Salt Spray Corrosion Test Cabinet  is a reliable test chamber to perform accelerated corrosion tests on a wide variety of materials such as paints, metals, electronics etc. Simplicity of operation is guaranty by an easy to understand control panel, with minimal operator intervention required.

TQC Sheen offers Salt Spray Test Chamber in three sizes: : 450L, 1000l and 3000 l capacity. In each case great care has been taken to maximize the usable cross-sectional area, to enable a large number of samples to be tested at once, without compromising on good ergonomics. This results in a convenient loading height and also easy to reach panels.

The design is based upon a robust Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) construction, combined with other plastic materials, to guarantee a corrosion resistant finish and long life. The bottom is made of steel which is  more robust and also less susceptible for damages.  Each model Salt Spray Corrosion Cabinet complies with the most popular international standards for salt fog testing, including ASTM B117, ISO 9227, DIN 50 021, JIS Z 2371.

Inside the TQC Sheen Salt Spray Corrosion Cabinet, moveable sample holders are provided. The TQC Sheen Salt Spray Corrosion Cabinets are floor standing and mounted on lockable castors. Alternatively, there is a 400 liter model with a “Front Loading” option. For small spaces or small series there is a model of 100 and 200 liters.

Optimum Operation

Effective corrosion testing requires close operational control and also total accuracy. In C&W’s salt spray cabinets these criteria are assured by many features. The easy access for filling and sterilisation prevents excessive growth of algae. A mobile external salt Solution reservoir with integral filter systems and 114 litre capacity gives up to 14 days continuous operation depending on model size. The integrated air regulator and gauge control and monitor the air pressure required for precise salt spray distribution, whereas the flowmeter accurately monitors salt solution flow. Sample Racks are also supply as standard to accept panels or suspend samples. Optionally a low level alarm system is available.

Precise Control

C&W Salt Spray Cabinets have many control features integrated. Temperature control (Range ambient to 55˚C, +/- 1˚C, by N.T.C. Sensor). This is perform by means of a Soft touch” waterproof membrane keypad control panel with user friendly tactile keypads giving full digital test display. Humidity is controll by an automatic self-filling humidifier tower for compress air saturation and also heating with digital display of temperature set point (range ambient to 65˚C, +/-1˚C).

This tower includes an incoloy heater, over temperature protection and air diffusers to create bubble formation of air within the tower to produce totally saturated and heated air. With low water level protection. To ease programme control the microprocessor controller has the capacity to store up to seven different test programmes. The cycle-run and cycle-left counter has an end-of-test facility. Salt spray / dry cycles are fully adjustable from 0 to 9999 minutes. For spray/dry/air purge cycles the cabinets have an intermittent test facility. The integrated air purge removes corrosive air borne salt prior to sample inspection. This is adjustable in manual or automatically, to be including in a program to work.

The specially formulation fire retardant glass reinforced polyester (GRP) with high chemical and also temperature tolerance. The apex lids are formed in a range of composite materials, depending on test requirements and support by gas springs to ensure a smooth operation and an effective seal when close to ensure full insulation. Over-temperature protection is a factory set and the control panel is ergonomically design. Transportation in areas of restricted access is made easier due to the compact design aided by wheels and removable lids.
