Thermocouple Sensor

Description

What is Thermocouple Sensor ?

Thermocouple sensor, also known as a thermoelectrical thermometer sensor. It is an electrical device consisting of two dissimilar electrical conductors forming an electrical junction. A thermocouple produces a temperature-dependent voltage as a result of the Seebeck effect, and this voltage can be interpretation to measure temperature. Thermocouples are widely uses as temperature sensors.

Commercial thermocouples are inexpensive, interchangeable, and also supply with standard connectors, and can measure a wide range of temperatures. In contrast to most other methods of temperature measurement, thermocouples are self-powered and require no external form of excitation. The main limitation with thermocouples is accuracy; system errors of less than one degree Celsius (°C) can be difficult to achieve.

Thermocouples are widely uses in science and industry. Applications include temperature measurement for kilns, gas turbine exhaust, diesel engines, and other industrial processes. It’s also use in homes, offices and businesses. As the temperature sensors in thermostats, and also as flame sensors in safety devices for gas-powered appliances.

We also provide special designing and building thermocouple and Pt100 temperature sensors for all industries this includes food & beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, glass, oil & gas, power boiler, R&D and paper milling applications. We offer custom designs to suit your exact needs. The sensors are made to Thermo-Electra exacting quality standards Dekra certificated to ISO 9001:2015. Our welding work is EN3834 Part 2, IIW certified by NIL, and authorized holder of the ASME S-stamp. Thermo-Electra stands ready to address your Thermocouple and RTD sensor needs. Fast response, quality products, and superb engineering support are our hallmarks. ATEX and IECEx sensors for hazardous. We offer, together with more than 25 sales channels throughout the world, a reliable partner in production.

Thermocouple Multi-Level temperature sensors.

Multi Level Temperature SensorThe design, engineer, and manufacture Multipoint temperature sensors for industry and laboratory. These sensors are used to measure at several points over the length of the probe for temperature profiling or hot spot detection. The sensors can be uses in reactor vessels, catalyst beds, crude oil refinement, test skids, and storage tanks for liquids and semi-solids such as grains and molasses/sugar syrup. The Multipoint temperature sensors assemblies / Multipoint RTD sensors up to 12 measuring points possible within a 3 mm sheath or 60 measuring points within an 8 mm outside diameter. An industrial reactor multi-spot thermometer can have up to 32 measuring points with the replacement of individual sensors on site. ATEX and IECEx certified sensors for use in Gas, zone 0, 1, and 2 with Exi, Exe, Exd, and Dust approval for zone 20, 21, and 22. An aluminum or stainless steel junction box can be add to accommodate a terminal strip or temperature transmitters.

Thermocouple Sensor Resistance thermometers.

Thermocouple Resistance sensorResistance Thermometer uses precision Pt100 and Pt1000 wire wound detectors to EN60751, ceramic or glass encapsulated and thin film detectors for its resistance thermometers. We have solutions for laboratories, general machinery and food industry, chemical and petrochemical industries. Further a complete line of sensors with standard “DIN” constructions are made with an interchangeable insert, for easy replacement. And also can be supply with a built-in two-wire 4-20mA transmitter and hazardous area approved, ATEX and IECEx certified temperature-sensors, single and multipoint for zone 0,1, 2 and 21, 22 with Exi, Exe, Exd, Ext, Exce (Exna) approvals and can be fitted with an integral head-mount transmitter.

The designs and produces thermocouples and uses heat-resistant steel and ceramic tubes for glass, metal, and brick making factories. Stainless steel-protection sensors are most used in laboratories, general machinery and the food industry, and vibration-resistant sensors for bearing measurements and diesel engines. Our thermocouples probes can be supply with a certificate from Lloyds Register, Rina, Buro Veritas etc. Further, a complete line of sensors with standard “DIN” constructions are made with an interchangeable insert, for easy replacement. Also most of our thermocouples are available in ATEX or IECEx version for Exe, Exia, Exna/Exce, Exd, Extb for zones 0, 1, 2 and 20, 21, 22.

Thermowells.

Thermowell SensorOur produces solid drilled and machined thermowells. High pressure and velocity applications need thermowells with screw, flange or welding construction for easy mounting at site. Depending on the process data: medium, temperature, velocity and pressure they are machined from one piece, solid drilled from bar stock material or forgings or are fabricated. Standard materials; SS304/304L,316/316L, A105, 316Ti, Hastelloy C4, Hastelloy C276, Monel 400, Titanium and Inconel. Material certificates as per EN10204-3.1/3.2 can be supply with each thermowell. It also meet the NACE standard MR-01-75. WPS and PQR’s are available. Our engineers do Stress Calculations per ASME/ANSI PTC 19.3-74 where high velocity or pressure can be critical and to determine the Wake Frequency. A velocity collar can help here. Coating: Thermowells can be supply with a coating for chemical resistance such as Teflon PTFE, PFA, FEP and Halar – ECTFE. To achieve abrasion-resistance we can add the thermowell surface with a Stellite , Eutalloy or Ceramic layer. Further we can assist with the choice of material.
